Exactly. Arguments against gay marriage fall apart when you try to apply the same rules to other aspects of society. Of course, each issue is unique and cannot use all the same rules, but still - a little consistency would be nice.
Also - seriously, guys, I want to get married someday.

I didn’t want to swoon, but…
A fantastic lecture by the Reverend Amy DeLong, a lesbian Methodist minister who was taken to her church’s court because she performed same-sex marriage ceremonies and because she was a “practicing homosexual.” She makes a strong and lucid case for the inclusion of GLBTQI people in the church.
“We know we are God’s beloved, named, claimed, and fashioned in the divine image, no BUT. We know our sexuality and gender identity, hetero, homo, trans, or bi, are all good gifts from God, no BUT. We know God created us, loves us completely, and honors the beautiful truth of our lives, no BUT. We know we are held fiercely and gently in a love that will never let us go, no BUT. We know we are worth more than a million canaries, no BUT.”
